  St. Roch presentation, 25th April 2007 at RCMP HQ H Division   

 

More than 60 members and guests attended the April 25 general meeting at RCMP "H" Division HQ and the special presentation on the RCMP Arctic Patrol Vessel St. Roch. RUSI's plans to commemorate the three historic voyages of the vessel were outlined at the meeting. Among the special guests were Stan McKenzie of Yarmouth, a member of the St. Roch crew for the 1944 east-west transit through the Northwest Passage.  BGen (Ret'd) Colin Curleigh outlined the history and significance of St. Roch. Col (Ret'd) Murray Lee, president of RUSI and Mike Kelly, Chair of RUSI's Heritage Committee welcomed Hon Murray Scott, Minister Responsible for Military Relations.
